Cluster Foster Care Scheme

Through family clusters, Elonwabeni aims to reduce the child's exposure to institutionalised care. Each Home is headed by a dedicated Housemother or couple (husband and wife), each located and housed within the community. Advocacy & Training

Elonwabeni runs an 18 month support programme for young pregnant moms. This includes workshops and camps which deals with Psychosocial support, preparation for birth and training on how to bond and care for their baby. |

Covid-19 has excacerbated a chronic educational crisis in South Africa. Since 2020, Elonwabeni has set up a Learning Lab for our children, equipped with computers and laptops to facilitate their online learning. Learning is supported by a full-time teacher and online tutors. |
